It is always a struggle for me. The idea of marketing. The pressure to promote and sell who we are and what we do.
First of all, it just isn’t my nature. I hate selling. I hate being sold to!
In high school, I worked part time at a home goods store and was constantly barraged by the manager to “up sell”. If a customer bought a candle, it was an opportunity to try and sell them a candleholder.
When someone is trying to convince me to buy something or try a thing, I can immediately tell when it is insincere.
With my services and the clinic, I NEVER want to be anywhere close to this type of business.
Ultimately, you cannot market or sell yourself as the “best physical therapist” or as providing the “best PT”. Well, you can, I see folks trying all the time. And good for them, its just not me.
I truly believe, as a healthcare professional, we can simply be the best.
Our best.
For our patients.
I left the big, busy, up-sell clinic to be a small, hands-on, take my time practitioner.
I wanted to actually provide the treatment I knew I could to patients who I knew deserved it.
I chose and continue to choose this.
So instead of selling, we are committing.
Committing to being here for you.
Committing to applying the best of our knowledge, skills and expertise.
This is our high standard.
